Project Overview
DADUs are an excellent application for the Ground Frame Foundation system
This private residence, located in Gig Harbor, WA, selected a Ground Frame foundation for their backyard guest house offering a strong foundation to ensure durability and long-term structural stability. A well-built foundation helps prevent issues such as cracking, settling, or water intrusion, which could lead to costly repairs over time.
This residential backyard started with choosing the ideal site and clearing the area of debris, trees, and roots. The next step involved marking the foundation’s footprint and laying out the required beams according to engineered plans, local building codes, and soil conditions. After shimming the beams, the framers erected the required cripple and pony walls and drove in the support pipes to secure the beams, ensuring a solid foundation for the next step in construction.
